News from EPI Media Advisory: The real economic effects of President Trump’s 232 aluminum and steel tariffs

On Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. Eastern, the Economic Policy Institute (EPI), in conjunction with the American Primary Aluminum Association (APAA), the Alliance for American Manufacturing (AAM), and Coalition for a Prosperous America (CPA), will address the real economic effects of President Trump’s steel and aluminum tariffs. As part of this presentation, EPI’s Director of Trade and Manufacturing Policy Research Robert Scott will release new economic research that shows how the aluminum tariffs have brought back thousands of American jobs, sparked reinvestment in manufacturing, and contributed billions of dollars to the U.S. economy.
