News from EPI Media Advisory: Heidi Shierholz joins press call to discuss CBO report on minimum wage at 3 p.m. Eastern

Today at 3 p.m. Eastern, EPI Policy Director Heidi Shierholz will join Congressman Bobby Scott (D-Va.)—Chairman of the Education and Labor Committee—and fast food worker and activist Terrence Wise to answer questions about the Congressional Budget Office’s report on the impact of increasing the minimum wage.

At 2 p.m. Eastern, the CBO is expected to release its report examining the impact of the Raise the Wage Act, which would gradually raise the federal minimum wage to $15 by 2024. EPI has previously found that the Raise the Wage Act would lift pay for nearly 40 million workers.
