Joy Kirk is a middle school teacher in Fredrick County, Virginia. She has been a public educator in the state for 24 years. Kirk was honored as Virginia Education Association Teacher of the Year in 2019. She was president of the Frederick County Education Association President between 2012 and 2018. She has been president of the Virginia Education Association’s District D since 2015.
