For the first time in modern U.S. history, workers today have less retirement security than their parents did, and preparing for a secure retirement is particularly challenging for lower-wage earners. EPI’s retirement program examines the inequities in the current retirement system and promotes policies that will lead to a universal, secure and adequate retirement system. EPI is a member of Retirement USA and the Strengthen Social Security coalition.
